Low utility bills and reasonable taxes. Extra storage in basement. Great neighbors. Association fees are $146 per month. Low house insurance. No snow shoveling or mowing. Separate entrances. Newer roof. Have home inspection from three years ago. Central air. Forced gas heat. Own washer and dryer (stacked). Great views including natural wooded area in rear (a virtual bird sanctuary- great white owls, eagles, catbirds, cardinals, bluejays and the list goes on- lots of wildlife: deer, chipmunks, squirrels and so forth). This area is on a slope which protects against prevailing northwestern winds. Front and back terraces and eaves are wide and provide ample room for barbeque grills, potted plants and whatnot. One car garage with opener that can be operated from condo itself. Unit is in need of updating, but purely aesthetic. Unit is functional and presentable with lots of potential. My asking price is $79,900, and much smaller units (1 bed-1 bath) here have sold for near that price (which I cant begin to understand since their potential is limited by the walls that contain them). This price is based upon no realtor commissions to be paid out and is subject to change if any potential buyer desires one. Lets face it, these are lean times and no one should be obliged to pay for a realtors supper when a competent real estate lawyer is all one really needs to complete the transaction. I have no liens against this condo and it will be a cut and dry process. I have the abstracts and that is all that is really needed by the lawyer who will draw out the necessary papers. I am an open, honest and personable person and very easy to deal with. You can walk through each cranny of my unit here and say whatever you want and most probably I will agree with you, let alone take offense. Why am I selling? Im wanting to move to Florida before the snow flies. I worked at Alcoa for 31 long years and decided that these Iowa winters are no longer my cup of tea. If it wasnt for the winters, Id be staying here. I will be holding open houses during the summer months, most likely from 4-6 PM and will have a sign in place along Kimberly Rd in Bettendorf.
